Microsoft govt Dee Templeton has joined OpenAI‘s board as a non-voting observer as a part of a broader boardroom revamp, Bloomberg Information reported on Friday, citing an individual aware of the matter.

The ChatGPT maker had made headlines in November, when CEO Sam Altman was briefly ousted by the OpenAI board and reinstated days later after greater than 700 workers threatened to give up and be a part of backer Microsoft in solidarity.

After returning to his place, Altman stated Microsoft would take a non-voting, observer place on OpenAI’s board.

The observer place means Microsoft’s consultant can attend OpenAI’s board conferences and entry confidential data, however Microsoft doesn’t have voting rights on issues together with electing or selecting administrators.
